If you’re in or near the greater Los Angeles area, I’m happy to give you a comprehensive onsite evaluation, consultation, and basic service of your Hammond and Leslie rig. This will include a full analysis of all functions and the fundamental health of every part of the system, which will allow me to tell you what work is necessary, what is recommended, and what other options there are to tailor the rig

to your specific needs.

The onsite fee also includes round-trip transport for your rig to and from my shop if you decide to undertake a more thorough service. Basic onsite services include (but aren’t necessarily limited to) drawbar service, tube replacement, socket and connector cleaning, oiling, percussion service, and replacing start/run switches.

Anything that’s mechanically or electrically wrong with a Hammond tonewheel console or tube-driven Leslie rotary speaker, I can fix. Certain repairs, like spring reverbs, are contingent on very limited old-stock parts availability. Like I always say when folks come to me with problems that others have tried and failed to rectify—humans made it, humans can fix it. Services include busbar service, vibrato scanner service/rebuilds, preamp/amplifier work, generator adjustment, tour prep, Leslie kit installation, Leslie motor rebuilds, two-speed conversions for older Leslies,

and much more.

Prices start at $500/day for an organ, $400/day for a Leslie,

$700/day for a full rig with one Leslie.

Weekly and monthly rates are available. Please contact me to figure out specifications, availability, and pricing for your particular use case.

I have a limited, boutique selection of finely-tuned and exquisitely-maintained instruments available for rent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Whether you desire just an organ, a Leslie, or a full rig with pedals and bench, I’ve got what you need. I can provide transport, setup, and onsite tech/supervision for anything I rent if needed within the greater Los Angeles and Southern California area. Long-term tour packages are available as well.

Hammonds and Leslies that need to be moved for gigs, sessions, house moves, and more, demand the care of someone who is familiar with their foibles and gotchas. Does a house or piano mover know how to dolly an organ, to bolt your generator down, to mind the fragile Bakelite Leslie switch? Let me take care of your instrument’s logistics so everything arrives the way it left. I serve the Southern California area, and beyond on a case-by-case basis. Contact me to discuss scheduling and pricing that works for you.
